I'm heartbroken! I found an early 80 Casiotone on my block. Took it home, cleaned it, and then modded it a bunch. Sounded really really nice. I decided to open it once more today to try another mod. I accidentally contacted some point on the board and now I cant get it to produce any sound.
The output amp must work, as the volume knob seems to work as I can hear it bring in and out the low level background noise.
I dont know how to proceed. But I do have a few clues. Im use a Onespot aroudn 9.4v.The 3 4049s and 1 4069 are only getting 0.8v on their supply. And the main chip, the D775G is also only getting 0.8v. The 4558 is getting proper voltage, as is the amp chip.
Another clue. Look at the 2nd photo I uploaded. The one resistor above the 2SD439 is getting uncomfortably hot to the touch and is reading over 11v! Infact all around that resistor I'm getting around 11v, including the RD5.6EB3 diode and the 2SD439.
I'd really appreciate any and all help you guys could offer. I loved this little keyboard.
