Bsiab Transistors

I'm sorry that I create this topic here, but to create the FAQ does not work
I want to try out some of the effects of JHS, Wampler, Catelinbread and other amp in a box builders.
But I ran into a problem in my country there is a great deficiency of the popular in such schemes transistors, especially J201 and 2N5457, the next replacement for the second 2N5952 and 2N5485 as Has no in TO92 housings can I find these transistors in smd packages, but have no experience soldering of small components.
What can you recommend to replace the in TO92 cases that tested and will work exactly?

Yes, I've seen these adapters in some ptaly Wampler pedals before they finally moved to smdkoldman wrote:If you know how to etch your own PCBs its possible to make smd to to92 adapter boards, its what I do for my pedals. You can buy them premade but the ones I've seen are way too expensive to be worth it.
but honestly I doubt that I can solder a SMD transistor, I bought a pair j201 but when I decided to see realized it was too small, it is too difficult for me = (
According to what I am looking for analogues in TO92 housings

Hi there,POTL wrote:What about BF245C?
Try BF245A which is fairly close to 2N5457
The suffix on this type and other European J Fets gives the IDSS range and divides that into groups where A has the lowest IDSS and D highest.

BF245C
J112
J113
there are other options, but they cost almost a dollar apiece:
2SK170
2SK117
2SK246(Y)
that is closer to J201 or 2N5457 ?

all draw too heavy IDSS for your use also Up is likely to be too high
Closest to 2N5457 or J201 would be from those choices
2SK117 or 2SK170, 2SK246Y and the latter specifically with suffix Y
Oh yes J fet's are individuals also and the parameters are often all over the map and especially in the BF245 series.
The Japanese types you listed are however very strict considering they are j-fets
