Hi guys, im currently. Uilding the deifet deizel sim over at tagboards, and there is a call for a 470uf capacitor. Sadly i onky have a 470uf 16v cap. Now with the charge pump am i going to be ok, as its a 9v input with the 7660s chip makkng a chargepump.
I may have to socket and experiment with different values as i think i have lower uf capacitance and string x2 220uf in parallel or a 220uf and a 330uf.
Many thanks guys

Put the 16v Cap in and see what happens. Thats the way to learn.

I would suggest wearing eye protection when experimenting with electronics. Such as, I wonder if I run this 9v circuit with 18v, will I get more headroom? Components do explode !!!!
