I've had a versatile FF type build for years now with a bias pot for each Ge tranny and a input cap blend between 100n and 6.8uf. It's just suddenly occurred to me that depending how you have it wired, isn't the pot on the input cap blend going to be adding resistance and therefore altering the impedance of the circuit? What is the 'correct' way to wire this up? Or is a switch between two caps the only way to do it without changing the character of the FF circuit?

Do you apply the blend circuit as in the following schematic shown?sickman82 wrote:I've had a versatile FF type build for years now with a bias pot for each Ge tranny and a input cap blend between 100n and 6.8uf. See the attached image for a crude schematic.. it seems that I do have it wired that way. Is the resistance of the pot not in play here?

I accidentally locked this thread! I know that by wiring it this way the signal always has a path through the 0.1uf cap, but what I don't understand fully is how the pot isn't adding resistance. Can someone kindly explain this to me? Thanks.
