yeah, not sure what happened there...

sorry- i just pulled the layout, because i'm pretty sure it's got some errors. it was very early on in my layout making efforts. i would just do what i did, and slap together a few other layouts, or make an all new one. it shouldn't be hard, the circuits are very simple. the tough part is just wiring up the switches. if you still want a copy of the one that was in this thread, i can send it to you to look over and maybe base yours off of, but i wouldn't build it.

Probably just a glitch in the matrix.

Cheers mate, would you mind Pm'ing that to me?

I've done a handful of vero layouts, all on paper, but have just downloaded DIY creator to my work computer - its a rad program. Im keen to have a pedal that can do multiple boosts, and had a BYOC triboost, but after a way to combine/cascade them, and the Triboost wont do that without some modifying. If I had the spare $200 USA for a Fourbanger, no worries, but the exchange rate sucks right now.
I think I will take this one on!

Thanks
:thumbsup

I just built one like this but with 3 boosts instead of 4. I built mine on vero and just hunted around for the layouts for the boosts i wanted, arranged them all on a single piece of vero and just used a column of trace cuts to separate the layouts.

Does a layout and/or PCB exist for the Four Banger? Reading this, it seems as though it was once posted by SoulSonic?

You can easily find layouts for each individual effect and put them in one box and wire as designed. I am working on a unified layout though.

I'm going to have a go at this for my next project, aiming for a stripbopard/perfboard arrangement with onboard pots - might take me a while to find the time though, stay tuned.

Just FYI, the layout I post will include the negative ground version of the brian may treble booster posted at tonepad in place of the rangemaster. Same circuit with a couple of parts values changed and with a silicon transistor. And I'll be using the SHO, not the "Crackle Not Okay" circuit Soulsonic created. I think (unless he has changed it since) that Soulsonic is using the stock SHO circuit.

Martin hasn't been using the SHO in his 4 banger since he came up with his own design. it doesn't crackle! :block: I think he may be using his Burning Discharge circuit now.

no, I really don't think he gives a shit about anything that happens on tgp. nor would he let anything that happen there dictate his actions. he hates that fucking place.

I was only kidding, if that wasn't clear. I can't think how slimy I'd feel if I had to pander to them.

They spend $10k on an amplifier, $1k on an overdrive, $20k on a guitar... But their moderators won't allow you to write "fuck" in their posts because it's obscene!
