Hi!
how would i go about using a volume pedal to control a volume knob on a pedal?
My exact situation is that I have a jamman looper pedal, Ive already built a syncman to connect it to my drum machine and so i love this pedal, replacing the pedal is not an option and I would gain a ton of control over my loops if I can use a volume pedal instead of awkardly using my foot to control the knob while still playing.
It is possible to just splice in a female patch cord connector to replace the pedals volume knob and just plug in a regular volume pedal? Is there a more elegant solution?
Any advice is appreciated, or if their is a discussion on this type of thing Id love to read it, my SEO wasnt giving me much but maybe im just not using the right terminology.

Information
The volume control on most pedals comes right at the end, i.e. it would function identically if you'd just use the volume pedal after it.
I'm guessing this case is not as trivial and you'd like to control the "loop level" instead of the overall level, yes? Which JamMan are we talking about (there seem to be about 5 versions) and which control do you want to affect?
It might be possible to do what you want without modifying the pedal(s), but if you must, yes, it would probably be a simple as adding a 3-pin connector instead of the pot.

As long as the Volume pot is in the analog realm then Yes,
BUT if the volume is in the digital realm then be careful as any short on the external pedal might kill the whole pedal.
I'm guessing IF the pot is a digital control parameter then the common side may not be at analog ground.
Better minds may know the circuit.
