Im breadboarding an MXR 78 distortion. Im trying to replace the suggested spst toggle switch with the one used by MXR board mounted as I have those lying around. Those are the 6 pin push button white black blue in color. I dont think its the same as the one MXR used. Mine measure about 7mm and it doesnt even fit on the center breadboard. I learned about this switches to use just the half part 3 column pins. And it works, toggling between 2 clipping diodes. As I push the button, crunch was enabled.
My question is how to install an LED that will light up when crunch is enabled same as most MXR pedals.
Thanks!
MXR push button switch [found/sold]
- plush
- Cap Cooler
You can either use second half of the switch and connect your LED + resistor to it, or you can buy yourself illuminated switch like this.gearstack wrote: My question is how to install an LED that will light up when crunch is enabled same as most MXR pedals.

No plans of buying extra switch buttons for now. I have lots of those blue switches with me that I want to experiment. They actually came with caps so I plan to get rid of those by using it. For now I'll going to do your wiring suggestion
Thanks
