That resistor labeled 98k in red in that pic, is an 18k resistor not 98k. Besides the 47k in parallel with the level pot, it does match that schematic from Vox.

Yeah, that 98k was bugging me, that's why I put it in red... also assumed the parallel resistor was there to compensate different pot value.
