P-2356 transistor for Maestro Boomerang Wah  [found/sold]

Hi all,
Is there anyone here who'd be able to sell me a replacement P-2356 transistor for my 1967 BG-1 Boomerang? If anyone would have one, it would be one of you excellent guys. :thumbsup
My tech has determined that one of the original trannys needs to be replaced. (noisy)

Ehm... Why not replace it with a modern generic one, like 5088, 3904, etc.?

Well, maybe that'll work. We couldn't find any information regarding these P2356 trannys.
A 5088 or 3904 is a direct replacement?
Have you got a link to where I could buy one?

Looking at the pictures, it appears to be like a old 2n2924 or 2n3391 package, TO-98. I would use a lower gain npn, 200-300hfe max. That's a quite collectable pedal so if anything, you want a period correct replacement. I think i have some that are close with the green dot painted on top, maybe they were out of a Wurlitzer/ Cordovox/ Lowrey/ Baldwin? I think Gibson/Norlin owned 1 or all of these at one time. Maestro was Gibsons pedal name of the Fuzz FZ1 etc.

I've got a bunch so if you are in the US let me know, i will mail 1 out. Ideally you should measure the gain of the remaining one and i can match it up for you.
Measured a few, large green dot are 425hfe and small green dot are 285hfe, i have yellow and orange also. I remember looking these up and they didn't print the first few part numbers, may have been 991

Oh, cool! Those definitely look the part Mozz. Mine have green dots too. :mrgreen:

Update: So, for the record, the original P-2356 transistors in my BG-1 measured 281 and 304 Hfe. They are NPN silicon.

Looks like Mozz's small green dot ones are the ones I need.
