My pleasure!
Now perhaps read this thread again to attempt again to understand the reason why I suggested an apology was in place.

I will do that for sure - but this will take some time, because there is so much to thank for which is more important for me at the moment. Here are some examples:Dirk_Hendrik wrote:My pleasure!

I had to thank this guy for his information, that he received 45 pcs. SAD1024 at a price "far less than the more than decent price Steve Daniels asks for his SAD´s":
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 843#p12843
I had to thank this guy for his information, that the "decent price from Steve Daniels" for a SAD1024 at this time was $ 15,--:
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 062#p22062
I had to thank this guy for his information, that the SAD1024 is incredibly obsolete now and therefore it's not easily available, regardless of country:
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 49#p182849
And now I have to find the guy to thank him for his information, that the price for a SAD1024 is EUR 45,-- now. As you can see, I have a lot to do at the moment.
There are so many things to thank for - but I promise you, I will read this thread again from the beginning, immediately after I have thanked more times than you have received thanks. Until that: I'll listen to some good old Bon Jovi.

I sense some jealousy. It still stings doesn't it?
Just the same as I cannot tell you what to share and what not if it comes to traced effects by you I do not see whay you should tell me what to do when I run into a fine deal which, in turn, helped me to do a series of repairs which would be economically impossible for the current average SAD price.
But seemingly when one runs into a fine deal one should share that deal at the same value with others. I'd never expected you to be that socalist.
Can you tell me what exactly is wrong with spending quite a lot of time (yes, that poor valuable time etc etc) sourcing components and when finding them, taking the risk that all or more are either counterfeit or defective?
OK, Let's say I do so,
They'l be gone in a day, probably bought by some moron that either sells em at ebay at 45 euro's. That's better?

No, never... I don´t need (or want) a single one of those BBD´s.Dirk_Hendrik wrote:I sense some jealousy.
You are right, I have never been a socialist, but with your help I hope to become one.Dirk_Hendrik wrote:I'd never expected you to be that socialist.
It is only.... the forum rules say:
Here are some examples:If you HAVE something and you talk about it, then you have to SHARE IT completely FOR FREE
If you HAVE the knowledge to recognize that a schematic is wrong, and you TALK about the mistake in that schematic, then you have to use your time to draw and SHARE a correct schematic - FOR FREE.
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 82#p120982
or:
If you HAVE the time to compare a posted schematic with your own unit and notes, and you TALK about it, then you have violated the forum rules that you didn´t use your time to SHARE this informations earlier - FOR FREE:
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 53#p177353
or:How come I've been doing the tracing and not AG who seemingly had everything required already available?
If you HAVE the time to explain somebody a single posting of another, you have to SHARE all of your time to read through the whole thread - FOR FREE.
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 72#p183772
So it is very easy - it is the communistic spirit of freestompboxes.org.Now perhaps read this thread again to attempt again to understand the reason why I suggested an apology was in place.
Everything you HAVE and you TALK about you have to SHARE FOR FREE completely. It is not enough, that you only share a part of your knowledge or time .... you have to SHARE it completely, FOR FREE - no matter if this is your knowledge, experience, time, work or possesion. As an exchange you maybe will get a "Thank you" - for free.
Therefore if you HAVE a wife, and you TALK about her, you have to SHARE your wife with other forum members - FOR FREE.
And the guy who HAVE 45 BBD´s and TALKs about them has to SHARE them FOR FREE too.
As a result every forum member can now obtain a BBD from this guy - for free. The only requirement is that he has enough "Thank you" from other forum members, because that´s the only valid currency here at the political correct communistic FREE-stompboxes.org:
EVERYTHING FROM OTHERS IS FREE !!!
And I have to say "Thank you" to you, that you pointed me in this right direction. I found now so many reasons to "Thank you". Even for things that I did not request I can say now "Thank you", simply by pressing the "thanks-button".
Here you can see, that you will get at least three "thank-you-coins" only for bushing on others who used their time to help, but not completely enough - as the spirit here rules:
https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic ... 53#p177353
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. As long as you don´t TALK about it. As soon as you only start to TALK about it, you have to SHARE ALL what you HAVE FOR FREE.Dirk_Hendrik wrote: Can you tell me what exactly is wrong with spending quite a lot of time (yes, that poor valuable time etc etc) sourcing components and when finding them, taking the risk that all or more are either counterfeit or defective?
Your time, knowledge, experience ..... and your BBD´s - only when you talk about it.
And if you have the information and TALK about:
then you have to use your money and buy all BBD´s from this moron for 45 euros/pc and SHARE them FOR FREE.Dirk_Hendrik wrote:They'll be gone in a day, probably bought by some moron that either sells em at ebay at 45 euro's.
BTW - did you know ?: "TIME IS MONEY"
But I am little bit confused now, that I had to explain this to you, since I thought that - as a long-term member - you are the upholder of moral standards here at EVERYTHING-IS-FREE-stompboxes.org.
How many "Thank you" are now needed to obtain a BBD for FREE from you ?
"Thank you" for your enlightment about my lack of thanking, and "Thank you" that you gave me the chance to waste my time to write another stupid response to your post, and "Thank you" that a moderator can now increase the number of postings in the catfight-thread, and "Thank you".....and "Thank you"......... and "Thank you".....
IMHO: F*ck the insane political correct communistic "FREEDOM".

i got no issue with you dirk or what your point of view is but seriously tube exorcists pull a pedal apart and look at the electronics rather than searching the threads for quotes of people. Fuck what are you trying to achieve here. Your a hero and you can write the most bullshit. Well you've won if thats what your trying to achieve. So when this gets quoted to you responding trying to be the man knock yourself out. worry about the electronics in a pedal rather than being mr big.

To add anything to the real discussion here: the DOD FX82
I've opened up my unit and see: the label on mine says: FX80B rev K
Other pics:
I've checked it with the schematic of the FX80B and I could not find any difference on it!!
This compressor is my all time favorite compressor for high output basses! It takes my Mudbucker equipped basses with ease and doesn't reduce too much volume on the low E string (as it is the loudest)
