I'm looking to build a portable, pedalboard-mounted Class D poweramp project for myself and I was wondering if anyone had used a Class D module to do so.

The Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 uses an ICEpower 50ASX2BTL module and I was wondering how easy it would be to create a pedal-sized amp to go with different preamp pedals and circuits that I've built (or are in the works). I wouldn't need the preamp that the SD uses, just the power.

I'm a paint-by numbers diy-er who has made dozens of pedal projects following layouts and schematics. I know these power modules are often used as hi-fi stereo poweramps and figured that wiring one up with an on/off switch, LED indicator, 1/4" input jack to connect with a preamp, 1/4" output jack to go to a speaker cab and an IEC power cord jack could work.

Is this do-able?

It is definitely doable. It even provides a ±25V power auxiliary power supply for the preamp. BUT one has to follow the safety regulations and the datasheet to the letter.
Based on your self description, I'd say it's much safer to switch to a module that can be used with a wall wart.
