download and keep a copy, it can be really really handy if you need to do a repair on something
that uses an unknown tank... also demystifies how to tell what a tank is, how to use it, order replacements, decipher code stamps, etc etc

glad you guys find it useful. it really helped me figure out a replacement tank for a broken marshall solid state from the 80's. rock on!

Yes, I think it’s wise to have as much information as possible about all things that interests you. Whether it’s ever actually used or not is irrelevant as it can always be shared with that one guy that always pops up looking for exactly the info you have collected.
I can see myself experimenting with reverb tanks in the Surfy Bear Fet reverb build….I haven’t made it yet but it’s at the top of the list.

Good info but one needs to know a lot more than the specs to build a decent Spring Reverb. So I thought a link here might help.
Don't forget this site with heaps of ideas on how build a decent spring reverb units.
Rod explains the problems involved when trying to drive a Rev tank.
The pickup end is fairly straight forward for most rev systems but the drive end can be a mine field (even for those with good teck skills) as you need to match the Drive circuit to the tank Z.

After trying many rev circuits (claimed to be good but failed to impress) I found ESP site and his circuits worked first go.
