New looks, finally
It's far from perfect but as good as it gets for a first attempt (ps. how insanely difficult is to make the paint job perfect??)
The voltage doubler gives a nice 17.10v with the FETS biased at 8.50v and this thing sounds really loud after experimenting a little, removing parts C33 and R32 and replace them with jumpers (though i think it also altered the tone a bit, but that may be just me
)
More samples coming up in the near future

What size enclosure is this and can you post the inside pictures?

box size is 145x120x39, actually it must be same size as yours according to the pics you've uploadedkupervaser wrote:What size enclosure is this and can you post the inside pictures?

Epic. Just ordered the parts i'm missing for the Diefet v1.3. AND, a Rectifet v2.1. Today is an epically good day.

Is there already a version 1.3.?
Can you post the project files?
Thanx

Pedalshopping on fsb? A bit dangerous with so many great samples about this design. Unfortunately all DIEFET pedals will sound different due to the JFETs. There are a lot of projects (ROG) and kits available for these kind of projects. I would really want to see somebody rework this for a jfet IC and do away with this stupid trimmer biasing - sometimes it just doesn't work to get them biased.surfingsfun wrote:i'm still keen. just not really sure what a fair price is!ech0es wrote:not yet, i reinstalled it on my pedalboard for a week to be sure and yes, i want to sell it!
Furthermore a bit crazy project that started out as an amp emulation project but was eventually a sonic clone - which shows in the schematic.
Futhermore I don't understand why this project is in this folder when it is available from the French site. Will move to DIY designs...

Finally i tried it as a preamp instead of my actual preamp (plug into the return of the fx loop) and i keep it !Pedalshopping on fsb? A bit dangerous with so many great samples about this design.
Yeah a lot for fender, vox marshall, nothing for diezel because there is no schematicThere are a lot of projects (ROG) and kits available for these kind of projects.
analoguru in the first page of this thread:I would really want to see somebody rework this for a jfet IC and do away with this stupid trimmer biasing - sometimes it just doesn't work to get them biased.
But it's not a problem here, we did'nt start from the real schematic, because it is unavailable.. and the design still uses drain-trimmers - even at the source bypassed stages - which will cause every unit to sound different due to the different drain-currents....
If only the frequency response would be important, someone could use op-amps instead of the FET´s too...
