wow, thread is move.
Which do you like better? The Diefet seemed a little more fuller?
Actually my dr.boogey is slightly modified especially on the tonestack.
I use this more than diefet. I only use diefet for modern rock sound.
schematic here, my blog https://ritualhitamstompboxes.wordpress.com/

The Diezel simulation is an interesting project because the amp is used by:
Metallica, The Smashing Pumpkins, TOOL, Korn, Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit, Black Light Burns) and not only Muse ;)

Matthew Bellamy / Muse
Adam Jones / Tool
Billy Corgan / Smashing Pumpkins
James Hetfiled / Metallica
Kirk Hammeth / Metallica
Mark Tremonti / Creed / Alter Bridge
Wes Borland / Limp Bizikit / Black Light Burns / Marilyn Manson
Mike Mushock/ Staind

Just to be honest, the circuit is actually a Dr Boogey + LPF(at the output) of ROG's Thor.

EchOes,
What settings are you using to get the different sounds for some of the famous guitarists? I see you tried to start this on another forum, but only show one setting. I am just asking because it appears you have used this pedal alot.

Thanks
Rob

There's a layout with the MAX1044 in this folder,

http://www.techniguitare.com/projets/DieFet/

Let us know how it works out if you build it.

Yeah i build it, it gives more headroom : you have a longer zone of crunch on the gain knob before the high gain zone

A version 1.4 is available with a new knob "Structure", search "Sxdiefet" on techniguitare for more informations

OK Im etching the MAX1044 version today while my wife cooks the turkey (happy thanksgiving to our American members)
I've got some questions on the layout- http://www.techniguitare.com/projets/Di ... AX1044.gif

What is the blue box and text telling me on the PRES control pot and the blue box around the 56k resistor in the center of the board?

Plage D'action accrue means "increased zone of action"

A>B
means that the value A works better than the value B

The blue box around the 56k resistor in the center means that if you use a 470k resistor, you will have more volume

hi,

I'm the author of this PCB for Techniguitare.com.

in the red boxes you can see the value for V1.1 implemented on the layout and the value for 1.21 writen in red.

in the blue boxes there are some values I moved :
"A > B" = "Stock value > moded Value"

eg :
for the "presence" pot,
stock value > moded value for increased action
- 22k resistor > strap
- 3.3n cap > 10n cap
- 22k lin pot > 100k log pot

please excuse my english

EDIT// "masse" is Ground

Hey, everybody! :D
I've build this one and it doesn't work :)))))
I made my own pcb and I have found couple of mistakes, I used this schematic http://www.techniguitare.com/projets/Di ... X-V1_5.png
two mistakes, that I noticed: I connected the 3 and 4 fet trimmers to 9v and the 5 fet trough 220r to 9v, but then I switched it as it should be and still no sound.
The 4th fets trimmer doesn't change anything, voltage stays the same about 8.5v, starting from tonestack, there is sound, that goes from tonestack to the end, but if I connect input to 5 fet the sound is gone.
Any suggestions?
