Boss DD-2 no power; keeps blowing D-6

I bought some 12v 1W diodes. I've repaired these in the past where this was the issue and is in the repair notes linked below as a common symptom of the no power issue.

I replace the diode and I get no power and the PCB at D-6 gets extremely hot. I had to remove part of the trace as it came up.

Anyone have any other thoughts on how to troubleshoot this? Below is the schematic and link to a BossArea thread:

Either the D-6 is installed with the wrong polarity or the power supply is feeding more than 11VDC.

My Cioks power supply was sending 18v :wink:

check the 7805 regulator
