Complicated switch wiring always throws me for a loop for some reason so I'm hoping you guys could help me out. I have a 10 pin 2P3T slide switch that I would like to replace with a DPDT toggle. Using the schematic attached, how would I go about wiring the DPDT to the same effect? I copied this connection info from another thread:
Pins 1 and 5 connect to the same plane, as do pins 6 and 10.
The two sliding switch contacts move in tandem.
Contact 1 connects pins 1&5 to either 2, 3 or 4.
Contact 2 connects pins 6&10 to either 9, 8 or 7.
When 1&5 are connected to 2, 6&10 are connected to 7.
1&5 to 3 means 6&10 to 8.
1&5 to 4 connects 6&10 to 9.

Your switch needs a minimum of three throws, i.e. three possible positions. A DPDT is a "double pole double throw" so cannot be used since it does not have enough throws. You can get rotary switches that can be used to replicate the 2p3T action of your slider switch, though.Eightsevenzero wrote: ↑15 Aug 2022, 02:06

I figured this as well but it's actually been done with a DPDT:

If it's the "range" toggle you're looking at, it looks like it's been done with an on/off/on toggle switch. Let's see the entire schematic, so we're not going into too much guesswork here
