No ticking on this one for sure, although it may benefit from a buffer or two?
Could be interesting to remix it with the Vox Repeat Percussion?

Hi folks,

As the 2N2160 can be difficult or expensive to find, there is an equivalent relaxation oscillator made up with a couple of garden variety transistors:

Bear in mind that the values of R1 and C1 in the above image are to have 1 kHz and can be scaled to the frequency of this tremolo.
