I didn't know it either before I started out this diy pedal article collection. All these schematics and updates are available from

Seeing how long Steve has been in the diy pedal game (50+ years), I again realize that it would be great to have his story on video.

Hi folks,
As the 2N2160 can be difficult or expensive to find, there is an equivalent relaxation oscillator made up with a couple of garden variety transistors:
Bear in mind that the values of R1 and C1 in the above image are to have 1 kHz and can be scaled to the frequency of this tremolo.
