Hi all!

I got this pedal in a trade and I really enjoy it!

It is in fact a copy of the Lovepedal Amp Eleven
(minus some parts)

There is also a deluxe version of this unit, the 'Deluxe preamp'; this pedal has three extra switches installed to control the clipping of the booster and the clipping of the overdrive circuit.

In this Amp Turbo version the PCB has patches for the switches, but no switches are installed
Also the boost function has all the diodes you can switch, but as the switch is not placed, these diodes serve no function al all.

(and check the orientation of D7 / D8)

Look for pics at my instagram page

Schematic (parts in RED are not placed at the circuit

Thank you, I have both pedals, can verify this is the case.

Interesting to note the new Breaker Drive also has switch pads for two switches and is basically a Morning Glory V4.

Thanks for this. I have the blue deluxe version. I’ve been under the impression that the boost section on the deluxe was a SHO boost instead of the COT. I have the amp 11 also and they sound quite different to me. One problem is on the deluxe is that I can’t hear a difference in the between the 2 switching options. Maybe the diodes were installed wrong?

Also, what did you mean by the orientation of d7 and d8?

I’ve been out of the diy game for a while and can’t remember much of anything lol. Thanks in advance.

What diode switch are you talking about? The OD / timmy side? As those changes are so slight, I bet you can't hear a difference......

As for the boost side, you should hear the difference between the settings..... getting a second switch to use the Boost without the diodes is also a great mod!

As for D7 / D8; they shoud be oriented more like D9 / D10 as in this orientation, both sides of the wave will be clipped. Now only one side of the wave is clipped.

Thanks for the reply my friend. Yes I referring to the clipping in the boost section. D7/D8 and D9/D10… I just don’t really hear any difference. So I should swap the the orientation to of 7 and 8 to match 9 and 10?

I'd guess that swapping D7 OR D8 will make it sound like the real deal

Any other configurations or arrangements that might give it a more interested sound? I have an amp 11 also so something little different would be cool. Maybe leds, mosfet used as clippers or maybe even using 3-4 diodes instead of 2? Just curious what the possibilities are.

Also, didn’t you used to be the electric mistress “guru” around here and maybe even in on “guitargeek” way back in the day lol?

Appreciate the help brother!

As for the interesting parts, just try and see what works! maybe you find another nice sound! You could even use a clipping selector switch to add a lot of possibilities on the fly; yet, I don't think it'll fit the box

And yes! I've been doing a lot of these things with the Mistress and was quite often on Guitargeek, when it was still running...... Sometimes miss those days
