Orange Bass Butler [schematic]
Oh man I remember a few years back when a lot of people were doing jfet versions of different tube amp preamps and a bunch of people came out of the wood work to say how it cannot be done and jfets produce different order harmonics yada yada and it will never sound as good…. And here we are with amp companies jumping on train doing it

Thank you!Tassieviking wrote: ↑16 May 2023, 16:50 That looks awesome Tuck, if you want to use the DI out just use a stereo 1/4 inch jack.
You could make a small cable with the 1/4 inch plug on one end and a 3 pin XLR socket on the other end to use as a patch cable.
Cheers
Mick
The idea of the small box was to omit the whole cab sim DI out to save space.
If I need the DI I use the big box.

I found some time to compare the original with my builds.
The original sound almost exactly the same. The only difference that I could hear (at low volume at home) is that the original box has a little tiny bit more gain on tap than my big box.
On the Other hand the small BB box has a lot more gain than the original or the big box copy.
And I have to figure out how to measure the Xvive5C3 as I'm uncertain if I realy received the correct because no dot means eather Xvive5C3-2 "Non RoHs compliant" or 5C1.
