Figured I’d take a few pics of this before I let it to. Not a bad sounding unit at all. Darker than most pt2399s based delays I’ve used but it has a darker vintage analog delay tone “think dod FX90 or any old Reticon units pushed to their max. Modulation was also nice. Just have too many delays. Only changed I noticed with the chips is a tl072 used instead of a burr brown. Even has voltage regulator and preamp trim.

I just got one DemonFx Tape Echo, I needed a modulation delay quickly and I don't have much time to build another one (I've made about 30 different pedals), these days I prefer to spend more time playing guitar.
I needed a second delay, for solos with longer delay times - the first one is a DIY deep blue (I made it myself to be precise) set to slapback.
I have to say it does its job very very well. Even the regen (repeat) knob at max doesn't trigger that useless feedback like the deep blue.
For me, an excellent purchase.

I’m the same. I’d rather be playing as well and never really like the debugging phase lol.
I agree, the modulation alone was outstanding in the mag echo. Could even be used as a chorus or vibrato. Delay was dark but you could use it to your advantage.
I thought the Movall morning star was going to be a less conspicuous clone but I’ve been reading that the modulation is is way to much while the mag you could use most of the range. Makes me wonder if they used the wrong taper or something on the mod controls.
FWIW-The little Mosky deep blue is a steal. One of the few budgets I’ve kept.
