I completed my first build an Analog Sun from PCB Guitar Mania pedal. What a fun project! I'm excited to be trying out something new.
After final assembly I have some issues and was wondering if the community could help with a couple of Noob troubleshooting questions. Apologies if these have been discussed earlier, I checked out GEOFEX and was both impressed and overwhelmed with this community.
Situation:
======
I have completed the build (see attached pictures). I plugged into the DC charger and inserted the guitar input and amplifier output. There was no sound (with either switch setting) and no LED. This is my first build and I certainly could have soldered something wrong or put something in the wrong place. It's all a learning experience. I am now troubleshooting to isolate the problem.
Issues:
======
1. Bypass Silence - It was very strange that when I had the switch in bypass mode that there was no sound in the amp. It should send the raw signal bypassing the PCB. I'm pretty sure I've done something wrong with the EZ 3PDT.
2. LED Not working - The LED does not turn on with either switch position. This is probably not the first priority.
Questions:
======
1. EZ 3PDT Orientation - Is the EZ 3PDT correctly oriented on the stomp switch?
2. EZ 3PDT Soldering - - Do I need to solder the EX 3PDT to the switch? (I have not done this) It was a tight fit, and I thought it may be cool to be able to take it on/off.
EZ 3PDT Orientation/Connection (Noob warning) [SOLVED]

Information
It's oriented correctly, but you definitely absolutely 100% need to solder it! It may be a tight fit, but A) the chances of all 9 lugs making solid contact are very low, and likely the cause of your issues, and B) any amount of jostling could knock it loose, especially since gravity is pulling down on it when the effect is in normal operating position.
In the effects world, the only things you don't need to solder are socketed components (ICs) and Molex-style connectors. Use a breadboard for quick experimentation, but commit with solder.
