Hi guys.

I'm planing to build the Shoeman Pedal from pcbguitarmania:

https://pcbguitarmania.com/wp-content/u ... g-Docs.pdf

Before start building I've some questions concerning specific parts and wiring:

1. Do I need 4 normal 3PDT foot switches or should the Momentary Option fit better witch a non latching Momentary 3PDT?

2. Can I take a MBB 1P12T switch or a normal 1P12T fir Multiplyer and Devider Option?

3. What doeses the 2 Lugs on the PCB Clean and CV stand for? Are there extra inputs / outputs for this options? How is the wiring of CV and Input? Do I need normal mono jack sockets or special stereo / with switches?

4. Can I use normal polarized 10uF electrolytic capacitors for C4 and C13 or should I use sth special?

Thanks in advance

Yes, momentary is momentary, says so in the BOM.

MBB is unusual, doubtful you need them.

Clean is a separate, slightly reduced clean output that only works when the pedal is engaged.

The CV is a jack for Control Voltage, 0-5V.
These last two answers from the Dead End FX doc for their version.

For those two caps you need bipolar. You can fake it: two 20uf caps with the - sides soldered together equal a 10uf BP cap.

You can use mono jacks for "clean" and "CV."

When making such fake cap, do not forget to tie the middle point to the ground or to the corresponding reference voltage.

But in this case, there is no need for c4 and c13 to be of such a great value. Something like 1u or smaller should work just fine without adjusting other components value.

I have never heard of tying the "middle point" to ground or Vref. I can't imagine that working, as any audio will just go to ground or Vref, right? Can you source that idea? Where did you hear it?

Tying with a resistor of course.
