... and none of the bags have the values on them, I've spent the last 2 hours pulling them out, reading the values and then checking them with a multimeter because the values could in some cases be 2 completely different things. I could really do with some drawers for these suckers :?

They're easier to deal with than links when the board is made by machine, so it's just a chunky link replacement.

Hi,

Oh yes, when robot mounting pcb's you'd prepare an 'ammunition string' by hooking up the ammution prepare machine with rolls of components leading to it and progarming which components in which sequence the prepare machine shall mount the componets on the loading string and then if you need a bridge a zero Ohm component can be handled by the machines.
If something goes wrong in the ammunition string as in not the right sequence, the string is just thrown away.

Many years ago a friend of mine worked with programming of robots like this and one day he came with a bag of components explaining that this would have been thrown away but that he thought I might could use some of it.

Small boxes to store things like that is very good. There are Raco drawer kits, but small plastic bags can also be handy.

Ah values don't match huh? Likely that's why you could buy them.

Have fun
BJ

Ahh, makes sense I guess. I'm sure I'll find a use for them.
