I've drafted a schem - its on my PC somewhere. However, I was waiting on confirmation of the pot wiring, as I mentioned in my earlier post.

However, my hunch is that the wiring follows that of the DB-1 schem in your project ,which also matches with the tiny pic on the random japanese site.

Therefore I'll finish the schem on this basis and will post it. I'll see if I can knuckle down tommorow night. :thumbsup

Peace, out.

Has someone verified himisters DB-1 layout in the meantime?

Guys - just an update.

I've now have draft schems for the DB-1 and DB-2.

I know that there is a schem for the DB-1 in an earlier post, but as I was finishing the DB-2 schem I noted some anomolies between the two. Specifcially, the 100K/470R resistors in the bypass loop are in a slightly different config in each design.

To check I verified the DB-1 schem against a pic of the DB1 traces I found on the net. 4 hours (and a HEADACHE) later, I conclude that the DB-1 schem posted earlier is correct. No great results, but I will have the original layout of the DB-1 which I can share!

I just need to draft the DB1 layout and I'll post the whole lot. Tommorow hopefully.

Lastly - the only unknown is the diode in the LED circuit. This was assume to be a 4148, but looking at the configuration I think it must be a zener to clamp the voltage for the LED. 5v maybe?

in this version the cap on feedback loop of IC2c is 22nF, in PDF file is 68nF.
which is right ?

Any build report ?

THANKS.

Hi folks,
This thread may be dead in the water but here goes...
Have had a DB-2 for many years and finally managed to pick up a DB-1... Broke the switch on the DB2 soon after I bought it so I expect that the DB-1 will follow the same path....the casing is the strongest part of it... Cottage Industry anyone!!
Will post some pics if anyone has a need....
