Apparently it's some kind of knock-off of an Ibanez EQ from yester-year???
I see from the photo that Francisco Peña is the PCB artist. Interesting.

Definitely. I wasn't using the term "yester-year" as any sort of slight. Just commenting that the circuit was borrowed from a previous pedal.HEAD wrote:Hi,
maybe this is a design from yester year, but a high quality build - not that common under all these bouteekers out there as far as I know.

I don't have the schem from the MDEQ but what Brian from Antelope has said it is based on the PQ-9.Dirk_Hendrik wrote:moltenmetalburn wrote:"There are some dedicated unity gain buffers out there I am also working on an EQ based on the PQ-9 which is what the MDEQ was based on."

The PQ9 is a parametric EQ and uses a stereo pot for the frequency cotrol. This thing looks like a bass-mid-treble tone control.
That would be the Empress ParaEQscorpion victim wrote:i was given a pq9 from my old guitarplayer and its ok, but It would make more sense to have either 3 controlable sweeps and not a static frequency for high and low eq or control over the "Q"/width of frequencies would be nice. I just remember thinking that it was ok but need more control.
Saw one on ebay with these photos - snatched them once i noticed there wasn't more info around. You can take a guess if the main selling point is/was "3 Burr Brown op-amps".culturejam wrote:Sure would be nice to get a few more pics of this.
