Anyone have any experience w/these? They certainly raise the bar for expensive pedals, $600-$1200! I hear that they're very good sounding. Evidently the Tape Echo unit is based on a Boss DD-2, seems like I heard another was based on a Big Muff, the G-2 maybe. I've never even seen one, thought about buying one just to check it out, there's a 3-4 month wait on a $700 pedal. Nice work if you can get it-

Have tryed the SS-3 and the P-2, his booster.. They are all very cool amazing sound's, good sounding buffers, and yes they are expensive! but they are way better designed and build, then other boutique pedals out there so in that aspect worth the money.. Just my humble opinion :)

SS-2/3 is probably very similar to MXR Distortion+

"Gilmour's main distortion pedal was a Pete Cornish Soft Sustain. This was a modified MXR unit custom made for him by Pete Cornish."

At least his reddish goop is more stylish than the black one.

Well, first I need to hear it and see if it lives up to the hype. Then, we consider the goop or removal thereof!

Cornish also protects his pedals with a 'warranty void if removed' stickers:

"This unit has been built using the finest available components and constructed to the highest standards but should any fault occur during the two years from date of purchase please return it post paid to the above address where under guarantee repairs of any original manufacturing fault will be carried out (normal wear, misuse, unauthorized modifications or accidental damage excepted). The warranty will be voided if the guarantee labels are damaged or removed. This warranty does not apply to customer’s own equipment, which has been connected to this unit. This warranty is not transferable."

A Pete Cornish pedal for only $1.200,--.
Auction listing says that shipping "shouldn't be that much, since it's not really heavy." And never did I care about this, I thought, but man, it sho' is UGLY!
You can also email Pete Cornish and he'll send you a sticker with your name on it and serial number, since it has my name on it currently.
WOW! Can I have my dog's name on there too while you're at it, Pete? :D

Is the price of the sticker more expensive than the transport costs of the unit itself ?

Does Pete Cornish charge for the sticker the same amount of money as the seller makes profit on Pete´s unit ?
E.G.: Pete Cornish sold this unit for let´s say $800,--. If I buy this unit now for $1.200,-- maybe Pete is thinking that I must be a real idiot to pay $1.200,--..... Does he charge me now the difference ($400,--) only for the sticker ?

Those are easy to replace, but they're not cheap! Link.

Of course, he might realise it's been tampered with when he opens it up and finds it de-gooped.

Okay, now please guys, explain to me.
What in the world is going on in these to justify even the Original selling price?
I've never heard one and have never even paid attention to Cornish stuff before, please enlighten me here! :whappen:

From what I've gathered, it seems that his reason for such high prices is because he only wants to deal with the "big boys" - serious professional musicians who are will to pay the price of admission to have him do his custom work for them. At least that certainly seems to be the thing with the pedalboards....

I've been up close and personal with a Pete Cornish custom board (Bill Nelson's).

I havent seen anyone else get close to the attention to detail and build quality that Pete's guys get.

The big bucks is because that quality is guaranteed not to go bang in front of 40,000 people. A PC custom rig has a lifetime guarantee and is regularly serviced and maintained. They really are the dogs danglies from my experience.
