Keeler pedals - Push , Pull , Shove

Tonefactor is selling them for $250 each:
http://www.tonefactor.com/products.php?cat=167

The Pull is a "low-gain overdrive, the Push is an "Extreme Dynamic Overdrive", and the Shove is "the ultimate distortion pedal," apparently.

I'm guessing one of the two Push/Pull is YATS, the other is a Blues Breaker, and the Shove is a Shredmaster??

And I saw a super-gooped gut shot of the Shove at TGP:

Rule #1: Never buy a gooped pedal..... (except for the purpose of ungooping it).

OMG, another $200+ pedal with the cheapest Alpha pots in it.... you know, those ones that everyone here who's used them seem to universally agree are bottom-of-the-barrel junk. Shoulda used the goop to hide them.

I like how his logo is borderline trademark infringement on Keeley. I like how his first name also starts with an "R".
I hope Keeley sues his ass.

Apparently these pedals are OK in front of a Trainwreck Express. This was discussed at AmpGarage by
a fellow who's pretty intimate with all the Trainwreck models. Allyn says few FX come across well in these "1+2"
styled amps. ("1+2"=Gain stage after the tone controls. Like a Boogie amp for example.) The amps sound fine
without any FX, you just gotta play 'em so damned loud!

I haven't heard any of his cleverly named
FX and can only imagine what monumentally novel circuits
lie under his dookey dump. :whappen:

Slightly un-related yet decidedly off topic: :horsey:
Dammit, my WMD Geiger Counter has the Devil's Headcheese covering most of the components too! I put a
dental tool to the mung and it didn't even chip off a little speck. The goop is as hard as glass or Obsidian!
This mutha is certainly different than any pedals I'm familiar with though. It has a shitload of obtuse {but usable}
sounds. I'm still experimenting with the wave tables, Key input and Mask mode.
The various Fuzz/Distorshum grindage are all colors of the rainbow which should help thin my pedalboard of many one-trick
ponies.

Just to clarify, Mayers claimed that the Keeler pedal sounded good with a Trainwreck Rocket, which is a modified AC30TB - not the Express/Liverpool. I have built a straight Rocket clone and I'm in the process of tweaking a dual KT66 Rocket - both amps are extremely pedal friendly.

I get the impression that Keeler and Meyers have some sort of mutual adverstising arrangement - might just be an unspoken thing. If you poke around ampgarage and some of the other gear-related forums, you'll see what I mean. AG is a good forum all-around but in many ways it is quite similar to DIYstomp.

What pedal wouldn't sound good in front of a Trainwreck?

I got a warning at TGP for making fun of the goop in the Keeler pedals. They gave me 2 "points".
:?:

How many points does it take to win the TGP goop game?

I swear it's like 3rd grade over there sometimes.

I think after the Honey Bee project, we ought to get a Keeler pedal and expose the innards. And then watch the deniers shit all over themselves as extreme cognitive dissonance sets in.

Actually, for maximum mental damage, maybe we ought to just tear up the Jetter line of "original" pedals. I swear I think we could get a torch-bearing mob going if we keep poking.

What do you mean, "sometimes"?

Yeah, so by all means, trace all the Jetter pedals... they'll all freak out and get crazy over it. But don't ask me to do any of it, I've got a bad enough reputation as it is!

I didn't realize you were concerned with what a bunch of 3rd graders thought of you?

That last comment was supposed to have a smiley/winkey icon so you'd know I was being silly. :slap:
