Just curious if anyone has made a layout for this? Or maybe it's not necessary since it's a Dynacomp derivative?

Hey everyone,

Even though this is just another dynacomp rip off. I do like how they have done the attack and release could be useful way of doing other comps.

Anyone thought of trying this circuit with a tda7052a there cheap i was thinking about it but i reckon theres better circuits out there. Just have to get my grubby little hands on them.

I've been thinking about it as i have a few lm13700 lying around the thing that attracts me to it versus all the other dynacomp rip off's i've viewed is the attack and release functions it has on it. From the reviews i have read on it these are quite useable on it and are a good function to have to dial the tone and punch in that you desire. Got other things on at the moment but i would like to get to it. I reckon you could also just go to tone pad do the mxr dynacomp and just mod it the same as this one. you really only have to add the attack and release functions and just check if there are any values different and keep the input path larger caps as i've read the main complaint of these is they lose bass. But that i would assume would be the caps that are in the signal path being to small. but they could be also doing it to shut any hiss up with a low pass at the end. haven't studied the circuit close enough to be sure. But yeah certainly would be nice with the extra features.

which compressor is this closest to the ross or the dynacomp or even ibanez did a variation could someone let me know? thanks I do know there all variations or each other the reason i ask is so i can find a board somewhere and just do the release mod.

Here's a vero layout. I used the DynaComp value for the input cap and I think that the WIMA 470 100 is 470p looking at this, and considering the DynaComp was 1n in that position.
