The FAQ section has listed 50v electrolic resistors. Noticed at Mouser that the 50v are about $.21 and the 25v are about $.06 each. Do I need more than a 25v rating for a 9v stompbox?
Is there some other advantage to more volts? They are a little bigger it looks like.
Kind of clueless...

SORRY - the title of this thread was completely butchered.
Should read Elecrolytic Capacitors.

What an idiot.

Well, it can only go uphill from here --- :horsey:

The voltage rating should be at least equal to the maximum voltage the cap will have on it. Adding 50% is a good idea for reliability. 50V will still work fine, but like you said they're larger/more expensive. You would be fine with all 16V caps.

There's no advantage in the 50V rated cap, unless you just like bigger. Stick with 25V if you ever anticipate running at 18V, or 16V caps if you'll keep it to 9 - 12V.
