Bumblebee fuzz

Here's a fuzz I put together, its actually parts from other fuzzes that I like.
A cobbled together pedal and based on a Simple boost and a Woolly Mammoth.
It sounds big muff-esque, its a cool fuzz and an easy project for a first PCB layout for other noobs.
If you build it let me know what you think.
Edit: I’ve updated the files. Slightly different than the original as I removed the tone stack.(2020)

A nice looking project there bumble. How much signal does that stack suck up? I'm guessing the output is easily big enough to compensate though...

It does suck a bit of volume in comparison to the circuit without the tonestack but there is still plenty of volume to pass unity by a mile, that's why i didn't bother including the recovery stage.

yeah, with 3 stages pre tone control it'll be kicking out alotta volume! How are the dynamics? And the reaction to guitar vol roll off? Better than a muff?

Yea a little better than a muff, kinda similar to a silicon fuzz face.
Its a very thick fuzz, like the RI NYC muff and has tons of sustain but it never gets muddy.
It goes form scooped(10nF) to extra scooped(20nF) which sounds super cool, I dont know how well it would work in a band but with the guitar on its own its nice.
It has a nice amount of intermodulation too.
If you find it too thick swap the 22uF for 10uF and the 220nF for 100nF, if you want more subs increase the 5.6 nF to 10nF.

Why not make a "Thickness" control? Add a 10k-25k pot in series with the 5n6 cap to ground, altering the roll off in the feedback loop and allowing you to adjust the bass response to suit different guitars on the fly....

Nope I haven't tried your idea yet but I made a few changes to the schematic after i messed with the pedal again. I have a heap of schematics of this pedal all with slight variations, i can never stop fucking with it.
Among the changes are, more subs and a gate.

Updated the project files above. I’ve lost the original schem, or just can’t find it, as this is what I ended up anyways so that’s what I’ve uploaded.
If/when I find the original version I’ll add it.
