from the bay. i thought it was worth documenting. any guess as to what it might be, if anything previous?

maybe a jumbo bender?

yeah- that's my guess as to what the "module system" is all about.

Wow, they would all lock in together - that's neat!
It totally looks like they were ripping off E-H; board style, box style, etc... probably the circuit too.... except, unlike old E-H stuff, it's actually well-built!

now the question is: does Bell Electrolabs have anything to do with Bell Labs?
i have a Bell Labs 2xEL34 pa head with an orange style cap switcher that sounds fantastic on guitar. the iron is huge, and it claims 75w! so they did make decent audio gear, but i haven't found a lick of info on it on the net. i'll try and get some pics one of these days.

You can clearly see two sets of clipping diodes in this picture. The JTB only has one set. However, I only see 3 transistors, which IS like the JTB !It may just be a JTB with an extra clip set. I'll study a bit more when I wake up (Its 3:40am here).
Thanks for the pictures. Beautiful pedal.
Why not just simply say: "A Big-Muff-Pi derivate with omitted output buffer" ?
The Jumbo Tonebender is also a derivate of the Big-Muff-Pi with omitted output buffer AND omitted first diode pair.
It is evident, that the Big-Muff-Pi was on the market BEFORE the Jumbo Tonebender and it is evident that Colorsound "stole" a lot of designs - think about the Octivider which is a clone of the Shin-ei Octave-Box or the Supa-Sustain which is a clone of the Roland AS-1 Sustainer.

because it was 2am, i had to get up at 6, and "jumbo bender" is quicker to type. i think you got the picture.

ISS 1 doesn´t mean anything special. It has nothing to do with the International Space Station or with Eurotec/Colorsound, it simply means: ISSue 1.
Interesting is that in three units are three different assemblies. Really odd is the volume pot with only 4k7 on all units. Another oddity is the low value (560 ohm, 680 ohm) for the collector resistor of the third stage (located beside the sustain pot.
Capacitor values would be interesting, I assume 470n for the big ones.
