The small metal can transistors were coded 2N2484. Any ideas about what else is going on with this pedal? I tried it out with a Nashville Telecaster and a Hod Rod Deville 4x10. It sounded very much like a tube screamer to me, and I got to play it at pretty high volumes (chickin' pickin'...usually not allowed in Guitar Center, but a friend of mine was working that day). Twisting and turning the knobs didn't really change the pedal up that much...it pretty much remained in TS land at all settings. The MXR 10 Band I tried out seemed to have a much more pleasant effect on the sound than this overdrive. A very well constructed pedal though...nice and solid.

buffered electronic bypass... another implementation of Craig Anderton via Way Huge/Jeorge Tripps... hmmm man... I could be rich hahahahah jk. wtf is up with that? Jeorge said in a you tube demo that "yes, these are true bypass" well... maybe ... sorta... kinda... but the switch looks right hahaha, at least from the outside.

Okay, I'm willing to admit that's a possibility, but we need to see the other side of the "Analog I/O" board with the jacks on it to see for sure. I would be less surprised to see a relay there than I would be to not see one.

I have not checked the circuit but I am pretty sure it's a relay switch. The bypass signal is there without power... which is a sign... and I think I have read somewhere that that's the case... apparently the carbon copy (which also has Jeorge Tripps fingerprints on) is relay too. I like it... much more than mechanical true bypass... the idea of having the signal going through the switch itself is something that bothers me... I don't know why though.

I'll see if I can find some time later today to take some pics. But straight from the manual, it says "relay-based true bypass", and it's a soft switch. If the pedal isn't powered, signal will still pass through.
Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the build quality of the pedal.
Logic for switching relay. Other SMD parts are for power supply protection and such.
Audio goes from jack to jack through the relay in bypass... Yes Virginia there is true bypass on the new Way Huge pedals...

I bought the Way Huge Pork Loin pedal. When I opened the pedal I realized that there should be a 'Voice' knob inside the pedal but there isn't.
Why this knob has been removed? Thanks.

It's not that complex, not saying I could trace it but FSB has done worse, it's just 2 Op-Amps and a Few Transistors as far as I can see (all that complex looking SMD stuff is to do with the switching etc.)
