ok... i was so much in this thing that i've draw a first schem... the first part untill the 2k2 after the opamp is ok to me, but the volume and vintage pots section is looking really strange
have I done something wrong???

The only thing I don't like the looks of is that the entire signal path is grounded just after the 2K2.

That, and it looks like there is a 900M resistor right before the "vintage" pot.

well i took a look at the pics on the japanese website and now i corrected the pads.

well, i agree that it's not possibile that the signal is grounded like this... i checked again the pcb and now it look like this:


but i still have those crazy groundings (marked in red) ....

vintage-contol should work like this;

this explain something i was wondering when i managed to understand what are the pads for the wires, and how the 2DPT footswitch wiring is.
this fuzz is not true bypass, but it seams that when in bypass the opamp out (pin6) after the 2k2 is grounded.

then i'm gonna draw a new better schem for this one

IMO when the circuit is in the bypass mode and the Volume pot rotated fully clockwise the output will be shorted to ground by the switch !I do not think it has to be like that? Input can be shorted but the output?

That bypass switching can't be correct.. if when on the volume is at full, then it is dead silent in bypass..

The same is true when the Volume pot is rotated fully anticlockwise!

i know this particular bypass switching is a bit strange. but is what i could tell by looking at the pictures found on effector-repair.com!

it would be fine if picassochild could send us some more pics of the wiring between swtich, pcb and jacks or at least check out if the schem is right

btw the schem seams now right, and for the bypass i think all ara gonna make it true-bypass, so what ever.

now the last point is to know what diodes are those, an idea is 1N400x, but also some schottky diodes look like this

In the posted schematic, it looks like the values for the vintage and volume pots are reversed.

ops you're right

so i took again a look at the pics from effector repair and with the jaw breaker schem from soulsonic i corrected the bypass switch.
now the schem is 100% RIGHT

CJ, it certainly seems to be correct (possibly with the exception of the bypass switching - I just drove 700 miles and can't even see straight ) ... but hey, you know my old eyes

I did double-check my layout (a few times, so 6 checks??) last night, and I'm convinced that is true to the PCB shown on the Japanese site.

From the photos on the Japanese site, I managed to untangle their switching too ... can't edit my initial post, so here it is in its entirety.

Edit: ... just looked again after some caffeine, and yes, the schem is good to go.

And 'scaling' aside ...this might be a useful add-on if anyone needs it.
