Hi there! This project is called little because of its PCB dimensions! I have made one of this and it's mounted on my pedalboard and always light on! Never heard a mutiple sound machine like this before! LED are yellow type clear bodied 5mm and LDR are miniature type! I separated audio path from the led driver to prevent click! Rotary switch are off board! If you have some question I'm very happy to help this wonderfull forum and all you my friend! Bye

hi allesandro,

Just to make sure, what are the pcb dimensions for the transfer?

mm

The measures are 125mmx103mm(little board frame included)!I'll tell you some tricks when you'll end the pcb and send to you the photos!Do you want to see the true double faced layout?
CIAO!!!

Hey man!

Thanks! I needed this for so long...... will build it quite soon!

Alessandro sent the files to me. Above 4 zipped pdfs:

VOODOOVIBE DELUXE LAYOUT.pdf 48K
VOODOOVIBE PCB LATO A.pdf 31K
VOODOOVIBE PCB LATO B.pdf 29K
VODOOVIBE LAYOUT CONNECTIONS.pdf 49K

Note that the little Voodoo Vibe is exactly the same circuit, on smaller pcbs. The original unit uses a double-sided pcb.

Alessandro in private mail to me wrote:This is by now a gift for you experienced dyer! I did't build this original version because i never make a double faces pcb! This costed me months of hard work but i think it's the king of cloned pedals! The components and the schematic are the same of the little voodoovibe (and now you'll know because mine is called 'little')
don't thank the messenger!
Noboby dare build this one without leaving us with a build report ! :D

Allessandro,

Get out the WD40! It seems your caps lock button is stuck.

Shit - I,ve been waiting for this one - I've just etched the board and drilled the holes - crosseyed now
Should fit nicely in a 1790 NSC box - done the graphic front panel label - Rotary Effect will have to wait until this one is built - I will take some build photos too - many thanks my Italian friend

Someone knows what to do with the trimpots? I have finished the unit (although I still miss the LDR's). I have a working LED part (although the LEDs aren't that bright; maybe that is normal) but the tweaking of the trimpots don't seem to do really much

The trimpots work is to regulate the min & max range of the external rate pedal!Enjoy!

It is Sunday morning here - I might just go out to the workshop today and wire up my Voodoo Vibe - I have mounted all the controls and switch and sockets , and i have populated the board and mounted it on the bottom plate of a NSC 1790 case. But then again, it is a nice sunny day and the dogs ( Elvis and Cilla) would probably appreciate a walk in the park more than watching me get high on solder fumes again.
i am looking forward to hearing the finished vibe though - maybe I will do both

Those NSC boxes aren't bad at all are they? I've used a couple I got from PedalPartsPlus and they've been good to me so far.

I tried it with some old LDR's I had laying around.....
doesn't work yet; debugging begins today :)

I have in the chorus mode a vibrato sound, no sound in the vibrato and tremolo

Yet!

Edit; I had the leads on the chorus / vibrato / tremolo mixed up; it works!
