The DD3 exists in 3 versions. Which one is yours?

In that case... sorry. Can't help you with that. I haven't had one on my bench yet.

Hi,
A possibility would be a relay controlled True Bypass. I have made test way to a BD 2.

As lmkv15 proposed, I have modified my DD-3 to true-bypass with a relay DPDT, but there is a popping noise that can be heard in delay repeats too.

I'll try with a mechanical switch, but how I make the DD-3 always ON ?

There is no FETs on DD-3. Switching of DD-3 is different than other BOSS pedals.

probably something similar or the same as in DD5 - bypass is done in digital domain, that is, in bypass mode DSP/uC spits no signal to DAC.
The only one solution i see here would be some additional circuit that checks if the Check LED is on, when not - it should simulate a click on the bypass switch. The LED signal is only one point where we can easily check if delay is on or off.
just speculating, a haven't seen the component side of the new DD3 pcb...
