Jürgen Haible does it again:

It seems that he is working on a "stand-alone" Solina Strings Chorus/Ensemble.

As you can see the chorus is not produced by only one delay - line it uses three of them.

A similar circuit was also used in the Crumar Multiman S, Crumar Performer, Korg Polysix etc. to obtain this wide/fat chorus sound.

Schematic for Solina can be found here:

can't wait to hear it finished! I'm a big fan of old string synth.
I'm into logan, siel and crumar... but probably only because I'm italian!

he's working with tda1022, why isn't he using much easier to find components? Do they sound different?

Grin... let's put it different.

The TDA1022 is pretty unknown and therefore, though scarce, usually quite nice in price.

So .. I ran into a whosale supplier who had 32 in his inventory at 1.44 euro a piece.... I ordered 32. Let me find a project later.

And when the order came in only 2 were delivered. For the other 30... no longer available. Most likely the supplier had an error is his stocklist.

But to start a project having only 2.... naah thanks. They're in the service components box right now.
