those are some big caps for a modern production effect! why goop a simple fet booster??? i guess that question is kind of redundant.

:secret: that goop looks like it would peel right off.

btw- i've raised the alarm!

It makes people think there's something "Special" in there.

yup silly ... :slap:

I usually turn away pedals or amps with goop when it comes to repairs or mods ...unless it can be removed with little effort.

Btw i spy a 2200uf and 220uf cap

Turns about a billion times! Seriously, why someone would use that style of trimmer to bias a jFet I cannot understand.

I think the whole layout in there is really cool, though.

Using standoffs? In boutique pedals?

why not just goop the board to the inside? ;)

Looks decent enough. goop probably hides the components that aren't overrated by 100x.
Testing, testing, won too fwee

Did you check to see if the battery snap was gold plated?

http://lizardlegeffects.com/pedals/dragon.html

"Gold Plated Molex battery connections"

I guess tying to the output jack now qualifies as star-ground.. I should probably give them the benefit of the doubt and say that the star-ground point is hidden under the board.

"100% noiseless design with star grounding"

Regardless, I'm seriously fighting the urge of ordering one of these to de-goop, as I've heard nothing but good things about this pedal!

EDIT: And I also enjoy the layout :) The price is close to right on this little guy.
