I usually turn away pedals or amps with goop when it comes to repairs or mods ...unless it can be removed with little effort.

I guess tying to the output jack now qualifies as star-ground.. I should probably give them the benefit of the doubt and say that the star-ground point is hidden under the board.

Regardless, I'm seriously fighting the urge of ordering one of these to de-goop, as I've heard nothing but good things about this pedal!
