A friend of mine just got this pedal, and he sent me a couple pics. He says it's an excellent sounding reverb. Too expensive for my blood though!

This was my vote for the next Tracer's Fund so I'm definitely interested in this bad boy - the clips of this are amazing! But definitely too much $$ for me right now. I hear the guy is awesome to deal with. I'd love to have one of these on my board.

So is that what the reverberator is? Looks similar to me, with the IC's used.

to me that looks exactly like it, right amount of chips , id have to take a closer look at the resistor values to confirm.When Mr.G posted the gut shots i thought i had seen a schematic to this somewhere.

Mr.G do you know if it has the same problem as the eh holy grail in that the turn ratio of the pots are uneven, by that i mean the reverb goes from hardly any to way to much with just a a hair turn of the pot.

I can't say, as my friend who owns the pedal is in England, and I'm in Canada.

couldnt changing the taper help this problem?

Usually , thats what i would do , but i wasnt sure how much effect this would have on a DSP pedal where pots are often used as ADC's.

I am going to sell the holy grail i dont use it at all. i think i am just going to build a small spring reverb b/c i have never been happy with digital ones. that new GGG reverb project came out useing the belton chip
and its stupid cheap. How does that sound .

Having purchased a pedal fromthem in the past, I'll go on record as saying they are some of the nicest guys around at Dr. Scientist.

i read that with this circuit you get the same basic sounds as the Alesis Picoverb. it's a little 1/2 rack space alesis reverb you could probably find for 40 bucks in a pawn shop. i don't mean to dis the pedal or anything, it ooks like a great build, it's just kind of funny that you can put something in a stompbox and it's all of the sudden a hell of a lot more marketable. of course the alesis is probably made in china so... well, you get the picture. maybe a rehousing of the picoverb is in order?

Dude, that's totally what I thought. I wonder how many of the guys buying $$$ boutique digital multieffect pedals realize they're actually buying homemade equivalents to $80 semi-pro junk processors. Though, I will also agree that the Dr. Scientist thing does look well done and it's clever to see that crammed into pedal form.

I had this idea a few months back about designing a sort of "wrapper" pedal that would be an adapter that turns the FMR Really Nice Compressor into a compressor pedal for guitar (because it's just about the best compressor on the planet under $2K!). It would be easy to make a universal wrapper that you could use with any number of different small size processors, like the Alesis Pico and Nano series.... though, I would probably cry if I ever saw someone using a NanoCompressor with it because those things are garbage and the idea is you're supposed to use the RNC!

Pimp-my-rack? A great idea to create some hi-end fx that nobody else had... there is already a Korg SSD Preamp project by AG somewhere...

The settings are even in the same order they are listed in the datasheet;

Looks like it is using wavefront's ADC and DAC too. I am sure it sounds lovely.
