How to avoid a popping bypass switch?

Hi everybody first post ever! Im totally new to building effects. have just built some germanium treble boosters using a pcb from musikding.de. they sound great, but there is a pop everytime i engage the pedal. ive looked at ways of fixing this. thought id ask all the experts out there what they think!?? cheers ben

Pull down can help, but this is a sure solution:
