just received original Frantone Acoust-A-Boost. There are lots of empty holes, so to It's seems like simplified Hep Cat, at least as I remember that original Hep Cat had the same case, pcb and overall layout. Check guts

Why on earth is she shrinkwrapping the DPDT? Is the solder-side of the PCB touching it? That's weird.

If the switch loosens and the ignorant guitar player tightens it from the outside only, the switch WILL short out agains the case. That's at least what it looks like. These switches have wing-like solder points. You would never has this with an 3PDT because all lugs are mounted on the top. If you have a few hunderd boxes predrilled like this, you have a problem. This is the cheapest solution. Cheaper than mounting a different switch.

This circuit is an insult for every serious technician.
How barefaced someone must be, to put this noisy piece of audio junk in a stompbox and sell it as an acoustic preamp ?
It´s not worth to draw a final schematic.
