Bajaman makes me realize I should have paid attention in school.bajaman wrote:The 2k and 47n strung from the delay level pot will attenuate the low frquency response of the repeats (high pass filter frequency is -3db at 1.7khz ), also the series resistance of the repeat pot at low repeat levels will roll off some extreme high frequencies too. The opamp is most likely an OP275.

I really like that sound sample. You can clearly hear the filtering on the repeats. I like how the repeats start out sounding like simple bandpass filtered, but get increasingly peak-y as it repeats continuously.
It would be really cool to have a control that modifies how extreme the filtering is.

For a more realistic tape echo sound try gradually reducing the 22n capacitor after the repeat pot - you will know when you reach the optimum value when the repeats slowly loose the bass after four or so repeats, and gradually become a faint click like sound.

This seems like a great little delay project! Please keep us updated Neilnil, and big thanks for the effort! Does this delay keep the dry signal analog? If not, can someone recommend me a delay-project that does?

nice dubby sound
i guess i need to build this one
do you think it's possible to build it into a 1590B?

Order a Rebote 2 PCB from Tonepad or etch your own from this PDF here and make the necessary parts changes.Kaos wrote:nice dubby sound

I haven't looked real close at this but I'd say that's all ya really gotta do.The Rotagilla wrote:Order a Rebote 2 PCB from Tonepad or etch your own from this PDF here and make the necessary parts changes.Kaos wrote:nice dubby sound

I think it's very possible to fit a Rebote int a B sized box. I've made 6 so far! There is a perfboard layout on my web site.Kaos wrote:nice dubby sound

Those PCB's that you sell are killer! I keep meaning to order a few. It would be great to have a board that was already setup up for power, switch and In/Out jacks so all I had to do was connect the necessary leads from any project I was working on.soggybag wrote:I think it's very possible to fit a Rebote int a B sized box. I'm not a perf guy but, it is a tremendous idea and it looks as though they fit quite nicely as well!

Rebote 2.5 Layout
You can tweak it into a DBD.
I'm working on a new layout for DBD but it will take more time.
If someone makes a successful build, please let us know it works right.

Thanks for the comments.
I have been thinking about making another run of boards. Same general design but with traces for something on the board. I'm not sure what to do.
I'd need to order 50 to 100 boards to make the price worth while. I have to think of what people might want. I Was considering The Fuzz Face, of course, or maybe a Big Muff.
I was thinking to leave the board the same dimensions and fill in the extra space with pad per hole. That way you could modify it easily.

I changed a few components for filter part of my rebote 2.5 build to dbd spec and it was partwise successful. The schematic seems to work right but haven't totally verified yet. I already got an etched board for it but don't have enough time till Nov. 2 so I hope to see what I can do next weekend.

Did you get far enough to see if you could push 600ms from a PT2399 with unwanted noise? Please keep us posted, thanks!neilnil wrote:I changed a few components for filter part of my rebote 2.5 build to dbd spec and it was partwise successful. Rebote gets a bit noisy when pushed over 300ms and my MP DBD does the same. The Rotagilla wrote:Did you get far enough to see if you could push 600ms from a PT2399 with unwanted noise? You can also find some reviews at HC claiming the pedal is unusably noisy. Maybe they like to set their time knob over 12 o'clock.
It's not really a problem for me but some could suffer from this as have done from a Rebote.
