Can someone tell me if this is correct?

I received a mail with comments about this schematic:
Image
There is a fatal flaw in the FX-52 schematic. Shown where the external
power supply comes in is a cap and a diode. That should be a Zener diode
and with a resistor in series with it. A regular diode would clamp you down
to 0.6 volts.
If he's right I need a corrected version of that drawing :D

I have an FX52, I can verify the schematic sometime if it's needed.

A verification of the parts at the power supply input would be great :)

In a quick scan I don't see any problem in this configuration. The remark as posted suggests someone who smelled the coffee but does'nt know how to make it.

This reverse protection seems pretty standard.
Sorry. Plain out of planes.

Thanks!

He also contacted me again:
My mistake that diode is a reverse polarity protector.
So I'll just keep that schematic. But it seems to be good to verify such remarks in the future :)

Thanks guys!
