I did a layout that allows one to do a 4 or 3 knob version a while ago. I didn't include the 'clean' switch, but one could add that fairly easily.

Hi,
please, does anybody have a veroboard layout to build the three knobs version (or some circuit similiar to mod to red snapper values)?
thank you

Please notice that you have to move cut trase from under c3 to position b14, it looks like I have upload my old files and forget to update it, so here it is again.
Sorry

If you build off of the vero, make sure you check the schematic for where to ground the pots. I didnt get this working until then. Great pedal and awesome contribution by all :)

Just for the sake of archiving. I found these in a "for sale" posting at popular site for musical gear.

Size of board: 54mm x 30mm wide.

The layout matched with the schematic as in RedSnapper_SCM.png which is a redrawn from Hendrik's schematic.
Could we get these posted again please? The photobucket files have expired.

I have one of Brian's autumn of 2009 production run 4-knob Red Snappers and it is not using the opamps discussed here but a TI MC1458P.

Sorry if this is 'resurrection day' for me, but I was playing/modding some pedals this weekend.
I'd like a bit more bite/treble out of my Red Snapper; I built mine on the 'Snapster' layout PCB.

I removed the 'Bite' trimpot, so the 1k resistor goes directly to ground. This helped a little since I set that trimmer for maximum treble anyway.

Per this schematic http://www.dirk-hendrik.com/temp/menato ... napper.pdf, what else would increase the high-end?

Thanks for your help,
Buck

Hi Buck, I build a few of these and actually there is quit a bit of treble in the design. I usually add a treble cut to make it more usable. It sounds to me as there might be something wrong with your build (but maybe our ears are very different...) :hmmm: .

Thanks, Mark.
I think there are a few components I need to check over again (I now see the 6.8k resistor and 250k volume are different on mine). Mine's on the verge of making my Ibanez Artist sound like a Telecaster.
