it seems like someone already tried to talk this through with you and they left mystified. now they are asking for advice here. can you blame them? maybe if you really did try to explain it better, none of this would happen. why not here?

Well, now, this may be going a bit far. :D It's just guitar pedals, man, they don't really matter.

The first rule of Tone Club, you do no talk about Tone Club.
The second rule of Tone Club, you DO NOT talk about Tone Club.

Not trying to be a heavy-handed jerk or anything, but I pulled the files uploaded by plugzzzz. They appear to be exact duplicates of the original PCB artwork, and thus could possibly run afoul of US copyright law. Fair use might apply here, but in the interest of risk management, I have removed the files. That's too many conditionals for me to feel comfortable.

The mods will have a look-see at some legal guidelines in the near future and see if we can make a determination as to the legality of the images.

Again, I apologize for stepping in and censoring a user's post, but it seems like the most prudent course of action at this point.

How much were those knobs? I'm cringing, because knobs like that usually run about $4 - $5 each.

has anyone given any thought into what's going on with the third gain stage there? The one that looks like a FF with a SRPP/Mini-Booster Active Load for the top half?

This, and Rick's Superheated SHO, got me thinking about taken other, single or feedback connect gain stages and given them the FET-Top treatment. Does this circuit always minimize biasing headaches, or are there times where it would be less appropriate?

Just discovered this thread a few days ago. Thanks for all the great work you guys've done so far.
Thought I'd contribute with a vero layout of the schematic abfackeln posted on page 5 or 6 (or somewhere thereabout).

http://www.sabrodesign.com/wp-content/u ... enhaus.gif

I'm going to try this build eventually, but as of right now the layout is unverified, though I did go over it three times.
Enjoy!
