Ok, so I put together the Paia Tube Sound Fuzz kit yesterday, and was fairly happy with the results, but I was dissapointed in not having a foot switch, and I wanted to add an LED, so I've been looking at this diagram:

I have the LED, I have a 47k resistor, but when I went and picked up a stereo input jack from Ratshack, I noticed the fucking thing has FOUR soldering lugs..Its a three-conductor component.

So which ones do I use..?

Am I using the wrong kind of jack?

if you look closely, you'll see that two of the lugs are connected. use either.

btw- those are really crappy jacks. they can twist around and the tip can bump into the ground and you'll spend forever trying to figure it out, then get pissed and throw the damn thing against the wall and swear you will haunt radio shack till the end of their horrible doom. trust me, it won't be cool. order some good ones for cheaper at pedal parts plus.
