If you don't have the time to build ourLittle Voodoo Vibe project, you can always get second best thing at +$500. Gutshots way down on the pages.

They also have a smaller, cheaper version

I'm pretty sure it's the Speed control. I guess they put it on the edge like that so it would be easy to turn with your foot? I've done the foot thing with my Small Stone before and it's REALLY abusive to the control - it'll mess the pot up really quick if you're too rough on it, and that thing looks like it's just begging to get broken off...

The mojo has a jack to plug in any standard expression pedal to control the speed in place of using the foot/knob thing. It is an awesome sounding vibe :D

Anyone know how the speed pedal output works on these? I'm about to build another neovibe (univibe clone) and was planning on using a stereo jack to connect to an external wah shell with a dual 100k in it to control speed. It would be nice though just to use a volume or expression pedal instead of going through the trouble of getting an empty wah shell and rigging a dual pot...
Of course a volume pedal doesn't have a dual pot in it, so either I'm missing something or they might be using a different method of controlling the speed. Similar to the Dunlop univibe perhaps?

Yeah, this pedal is really awesome. A friend of mine has it and it sounds outstanding; I can make an attempt in taking nice gut shots, but will be in a while; because my friend uses it all the time. And

That brings me to soulsonic's statement, I would agree with you regarding the big knob, but my friend has used it and abused it and it still works flawlessly, maybe the pot used for the speed control is special, heavy-work, or something alike. So is the knob, its really rugged and solid.

Overall, I think this effect is worth the money my friend paid for it, he sure does too ($250.00 without shipping). Excuse me if I'm drifting away from the topic, but take a look at the fuzzes Sweet sound makes, its not that I'm intrigued by any of them, but I think the enclosures used are really nice ones, like Way Huge's; does anybody know where and how to get them?

If you find out where those enclosures come from that would be cool. Very nice for projects.

Yeah, in fact, I ask because my first pedal was built in a very similar enclosure.
Given that I wanted it to stand use and abuse, and that it was really difficult to get die-cast enclosures, I asked a friend whose gradfather has a metalworks shop if the old man would help me build a pair of boxes. I 'designed' them with my mom's help, (the layout is the best for me, which is very similar to the one of Way Huge and Sweet Sound pedals).

They are not perfect, off course, because they are 'hand built' (hey, maybe this can give extra price to pedals, not only handwired, but hand-built enclosure), but they're great, and have worked flawlessly to this day.

Yo

If we could get back to the subject of the guts and not the enclosures. Does anyone have any insight into the whole pedal speed/jack/expression pedal thing in this pedal?

Well, tomorrow turned to be like two weeks away, I'm sorry but here are the pics.

I couldn't dissassemble the Unit completely, because it is time consuming and my friend uses it all the time, but if there is too much interest I will try and take a moment in the future to make the complete homework. Anyway, I hope this is useful in some way.

Bob Sweet is undergoing treatment for cancer right now. If you build this circuit, please donate a little money to Bob's paypal account: b0bsweet@bellsouth.net More info is here on the Musictoyz site: http://forums.musictoyz.com/eve/forums/ ... 8211023064

Bob, like many musicians, does not have any health insurance. He is one of the nicest guys out there and is an active and helpful member of the Musictoyz forum. He is apparently still working too! Get well Bob!

Peace, teleman

The MoFaux is a modified Phase 90. I did a quick trace of the parts values, now where did I put it?
