I started off with the first mu-amp stage of the BSIAB and followed it up with the last two stages of a typical transistor Big Muff. Then I tweaked it until it sounded good. (crappy) Sound clip here:



Thanks to RnFnR for some keen observations during the early development of this one. :thumbsup

I call it an overdrive, but some folks might think it's on the heavy side. It's a little heavy. :mrgreen:

Verified schematic attached.

Notes:

I added a RF rejection cap at the input (marked "Cx"). This can be omitted if not needed.

If there is too much dirt for your tastes, you can omit C2 and/or C10 to take it down a notch.

And that clip was before I made one final tweak (adding the bypass cap on Q4). The dirt is now a bit crisper with more high-end definition. And there's just a touch more gain and some more output volume.
