Hello all-
I'm new to building pedals...my tinkering consists of building tube amps, now i'd like to try out pedals. Looks like it might become addicting!
Anyway, i'd like to start with something simple like an electra distortion variation. I like how some of these sound with the amp cooking a bit- but some of them have a bit of 'rattiness' in the distortion....would this be due to the clipping diodes? Are there any good tricks to try to smooth this out?
Thanks in advance..i'm loving this site, invaluable information.
